Fya Empress is the stage name of Lornette Nedd, a singer who competes in both soca and calypso at Vincy Mas. She won the Ragga Soca Monarch title in 2012 and placed second in that year's Soca Monarch, then added the National Calypso Monarch crown, which iWitness News described as her second Vincy Mas 2012 title. Searchlight reported that she kept the Ragga Soca crown in 2013 with "Ketch It" and finished third in the Soca Monarch behind Skinny Fabulous and Fireman. SocaNews later listed a 2017 Calypso Monarch win, three Tobago Soca Monarch titles and a 2012 Road March, and reported that she became Vincy Queen of Calypso in 2023 with "Price of Neglect." In 2024 she lost the Calypso Monarch crown to Maddzart. Caribbean Life called her a former St. Vincent and the Grenadines Calypso Monarch when she performed at a Vincy Mas launch in Brooklyn in 2019. "Rum Please" is a good place to start.
