Hance John

The story so far.

Hance John came to soca through the junior soca competition, where he won the Junior Soca Monarch title several times, and iWitness News reported in 2019 that he had been singing since 2003. He has also written songs for Shaunelle McKenzie and Fireman, working with manager and co writer Heric Horne. His Ragga Soca record at Vincy Mas is strong. He won in 2017 with "Sugar Mommy," placed second in 2018 with "Deja Vu," and took the crown back in 2019 with "Uptown Party," ahead of Fireman and Chewalee. In 2023 he finished second with "Bruk Out." In 2024 "Spectacular," made with Wetty Beatz, scored 233 points and returned him to the throne he had lost in 2022, earning EC$30,000. Other releases include "Love of Pan" with Rodney, released as 2019 soca, the video "Blessings" and "Doh Dilute It" on the D'Guitarman Riddim for Vincy Mas 2026. "Spectacular" is the natural starting point.
