Behind the music

The story so far.

L Pank is the stage name of Jamarie Stapleton, whom a 2018 iWitness News feature named among the young Vincentian talents who needed more opportunities to grow. He has been a steady presence in the Vincy Mas finals since 2016, when he reached the Ragga Soca Monarch final with "In The Water." The following year iWitness News listed him as a finalist in both the Ragga Soca and Soca Monarch categories. In 2018 he finished third in the Ragga Soca Monarch with "Whole Night," behind Fimba and Hance John, and that song was later issued on the Morning After Riddim as 2019 soca. He returned to the Ragga Soca final in 2024 with "Fever" and to the Soca Monarch final in 2025 with "Love Yuh Bad" from The Power Pack Project. His own YouTube channel also carries "Oh Gosh," released as Vincy soca in 2018. "Whole Night" is a good first listen.
