Behind the music

The story so far.

Angie Maya is the stage name of Angelique Garraway, a soca singer who lives in North Leeward. One News SVG called her a Vincentian soca sensation in June 2025, when, at 27, she won the North Leeward Soca Monarch in Cumberland with "Curry," her second Soca Monarch crown that year after the St. George's Carnival Soca Monarch. "Curry" was co written with Rajiv "Suh Raw" Sutherland and Rasheid "Rawsheid" Sutherland and recorded at Boss Raw Records, and its official video is on her own channel. She had already reached the national Ragga Soca Monarch final in 2024 with "Jam Dey." At Vincy Mas 2025 she made both national finals, entering the Ragga Soca Monarch with "No Owner" and the Soca Monarch with "Curry." For 2026 she released "Rum Ah Come" on the Rum Council Riddim. Start with "Curry," then hear "Rum Ah Come" for her follow up.
