DJ Chinwax is a DJ and recording artist whose official clip "Shatta", listed on his Deezer discography as a 2020 single, is named after the genre itself. A 2026 feature by the Belgian broadcaster RTBF on shatta, the dance music it traces to Martinique, cites Dj Chinwax, next to Maureen and Sage, as an example of militant shatta that speaks openly about decolonisation and emancipation. His Deezer page lists a steady output of singles from 2019 onward, starting with "Banana" and "Vespa", then "Stick", "Bubble" and "Badgyal" in 2020 and "Soum Soum" in 2021, a track whose official clip pairs him with Natoxie. Later releases include "TWERK", a Latin remix of "Shatta" and "RAFALE" in 2022, the EP La Débauche and the single "Badman" in 2023, "MAFIA" featuring Mikado in 2024, and "BWADJAK" with Busy Twist in 2025.
