Martinique is home base for Le Jèm'ss, who works in dancehall and bouyon. His Qobuz biography says he began making music at 17 with encouragement from the singer TiBlica, worked often with Natoxie, and joined the TKD collective in 2022, which raised his profile through tracks such as "Applaudissement" and "Gyal Accroupi". He has a long partnership with the producer Mikado, seen in clips such as "Ou Pani" and "Mi Taw", and he appears with Mikado and Lijay on "Cités d'or shatta". His Deezer discography shows how often shatta turns up in his own titles, from "Gogo Gadjet Shatta" in 2022 to the 2023 album Shatta Ta Life, and his lyric video for "Sé Li" carries the tag TopShatta. Other releases include the 2022 album On The Road, "La Transition" with Mikado and DJ Livio in 2023, and "A Blanc" featuring Tiitof.
