Behind the music

The story so far.

Yung Bredda is the stage name of Akhenaton Lewis, a Trinidadian soca artist who grew up in Sea Lots. His musical start came through the drum: he played in church, joined the Cadet Force band, and later took up trombone at secondary school. His breakout record, The Greatest Bend Over, was released for the 2025 Trinidad Carnival season on the Big Links riddim from Full Blown, and it went on to dominate Apple Music top songs in Trinidad and Tobago. During that season he reached the semi finals of the Ultimate Soca Champions. A Sean Paul remix followed in July 2025, and on 15 August 2025 a new version with Chlöe and the Ghanaian artist Moliy arrived through 0207 Def Jam and Polydor. The same month he received three Caribbean Music Awards nominations, including the Soca Impact Award. Other releases on his official channel include Inch By Inch and No Type with Don Iko.
