J Prince is the stage name of Joel Prince, a gospel soca artiste and EDM producer who was born and raised in Morne Diablo, a fishing village on the southern coast of Trinidad. Before that name he worked as a radio DJ under the name Omega Express. His first single, Victory, came out in 2008 with production by G Master, and its video reached number two on the Tempo Cross Caribbean countdown. In 2011 he released Renaissance and Omega: A New Beginning with Flow Master Records, and that year he was nominated for Music Producer of the Year at the Trinidad and Tobago Gospel Awards. Unlimited followed in 2014, the same year he and Sherwin Gardner shared the Calypso Soca Vocal Performance award for a duo or group at the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards in The Bahamas. In 2016 he signed with AfterTouch Music, working with producer Roger Ryan, and he released OM3GA:KRNG in 2018. Thunder Roll is another of his official videos.
