Behind the music

The story so far.

Tian Winter is a soca singer and a fixture of the Party Monarch competition at Antigua Carnival. Petra the Spectator's history of the contest credits him with the 2009 Groovy title for "Baby I" and lists later Groovy songs such as "Cya Fail Me", "Roaming" and "Oath", along with Jumpy entries "Hurricane" and "In the Middle". In August 2025 Socanews reported that he won both the Groovy and Jumpy categories at the INET Party Monarch, with "Grateful" and "Antigua Mas", and noted it was the third time he had swept both in a single year. The same report said he had competed in Party Monarch for 19 years and planned for 2025 to be his last Carnival competition. eTurboNews later listed him as the 2025 double Party Monarch champion on a UK tour that included Notting Hill Carnival. His releases appear under his own Wintermanmusic label on Deezer.
