TC Brown is Linus Terry Cadette, a calypsonian born and raised in Bagatelle, Castries. A 2016 profile in The Voice traces his start to drumming on his mother's pots and pans as a small child, then the junior choir at the Minor Basilica, music theory and classical guitar at the St. Lucia School of Music, and eight years on cruise ships with the band Summit. He entered competitive calypso in 1999 and won the Calypso Monarch in 2001 with Rise and Shine and I Like, the latter performed with Solange Stanislas. He has also stepped into the Groovy and Party Soca contests now and then. In 2018 he took his second crown with Rasta and Hand That Feed, beating 2017 monarch The Mighty Pep. He has written with Pelay, Face Calixte and Shining, and hosts the TC Brown show on The Wave. Representing the Kaiso Pros Tent in 2025, he finished first runner-up with My Choice and Kaiso, two points behind Dezral.
