Behind the music
The story so far.
Menelle, also billed as Menell, is Menelle Delice, a calypsonian with three Calypso Monarch titles. The Voice lists the first in 2007, won with Still Holding On and Pass It On, followed by crowns in 2011 and 2013. Menelle was a calypso finalist again in 2015. The 2024 Calypso Monarch final featured Menell with One Vision One Caribbean and Diary Of A Woman, and in 2025 Menell was listed among the nine kaiso performers. Recorded performances filmed at the tents include Welcome to My World and Sing Your Anthem Song, both posted by Calabash TV, and Living In The Last Days from the South Calypso Tent quarter finals in 2022. Menell has also performed Rivers of Blood in the first round of a Queen of Queens calypso contest, and an archive upload preserves the song Holding On.
