Lushanne

The story so far.

Lushanne is a calypsonian from the South Calypso Tent who came to the kaiso stage by an unusual route. She was crowned Carnival Queen in 2024, and in 2025 The Voice reported that no Carnival Queen before her had made it to the Kaiso Monarch final. That debut final was a strong one. Performing How We Love Thee and Crown Them, two songs about the strength of women and their place in society, she finished second runner-up with 755 points, behind Dezral and TC Brown. She returned to the Calypso Monarch final in 2026, again for the South Calypso Tent, with Heroes Don't Die and Colour Fool. Calabash TV has posted performances of both songs, and her own channel carries Crown Them. Party Access has posted How We Love Thee.
