Behind the music

The story so far.

Pressure Busspipe is the stage name of Delyno Brown, a reggae singer from St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. The Jamaica Observer, writing in May 2019, called him the standard bearer for reggae music in the territory and reported that his first soca single, Do It And Done, released on the Busspipe Records label, had won the 2019 Road March in St. Thomas. The paper also mentions his late father, Irving Brownie Brown, who hosted a calypso radio show. Do It And Done is posted on YouTube as a 2019 soca lyric video and also sits on his official Topic channel. His soca link predates that hit: Poppin, a collaboration credited to Jah Bami featuring Pressure Buss Pipe, was posted as a new 2012 soca release. His reggae catalogue remains the larger part of his work, with songs such as Virgin Islands Nice, so his soca output reads as a strong carnival side project.
