Prophet Benjamin is the stage name of Devon Samuel. His catalog splits between reggae and soca. In 2006 he appeared on the Reggae Road Block compilations with songs such as Pretty Boy, Usual Suspect and Coming from Bronx, and Whole Field turned up on Reggae Roadblock II. On the soca side he released Throw Wine in 2013, Baigan Choka on the Kuchela Riddim for the 2017 Trinidad and Tobago carnival, and Small Thing (Party Nice) on the Toast Riddim. His 2020 song Betty Cat was included on Get Soca 2020, and he performed it at the 2020 International Soca Monarch finals in Trinidad. After a quieter spell he returned in 2025 with Yuh Look Fuh Dat, which he wrote himself. Arnold Noel of Black Starr Productionz produced it, and Sokah2Soca described the record as old-style calypso storytelling delivered in a rapso and soca style.
