Volume International, also billed as Volume Band Intl., is a soca band from the U.S. Virgin Islands carnival scene. Its 2012 releases were posted as St. Thomas and U.S. Virgin Islands soca, including "Carnival" and "Shut Up & Wuk Up", which came out under the name New Volume International Band. In its 2014 guide to the sounds of St. Thomas Carnival, LargeUp described Volume International as one of the young bands pushing Virgin Islands soca and calypso in new directions, and said its then new release "Carnival Recipe" was drawing strong attention as a possible road march contender. Other uploads from its catalog include "Five Star General" and "Soca Wine" from 2013 and the track "6 30". The band also issued a series of mixtapes on its own channel. "Shut Up & Wuk Up" and "Carnival" are the most direct introductions to its early sound.
