Sugar Mas soca monarch who has won in both Groovy and Power.
Behind the music
The story so far.
Mr Bagnall is a soca artist who competes at Sugar Mas, the national carnival of St. Kitts and Nevis. Footage from Sugar Mas 42 shows him in the Soca Monarch semi finals with a Power performance, and "Wuk" on the 869 Jab Riddim was released as a 2017/2018 soca entry for Sugar Mas 46. When Soca News previewed the Sugar Mas 50 finals in December 2021, it named him as the reigning Power Soca King and noted he was not competing that year. At the Sugar Mas 51 finals on 21 December 2022 in Basseterre, he won the Groovy Soca Monarch title with 240 points and placed second in Power behind Stadic. His Groovy song that season was "Carn Miss It". In May 2023 the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service listed him in a Sugar Mas Soca Review of past monarchs and road march champions at the St. Kitts Music Festival. Other releases include "Ratio" (Soca 2020) and "Bruk It Set It" with AkaiiUsweet and EK.
