Ellie Matt & The G.I.'s Brass is a band led by Ellie Matt, a singer from St. Kitts and Nevis. The Wikipedia article on the music of Saint Kitts and Nevis says calypso there reached its height in the 1980s, a decade it describes as led by two rival stars, Starshield and Ellie Matt. In its profile of Small Axe Band, Soca News lists Ellie Matt and the GI's Brass among the popular regional soca bands and artistes that Small Axe has performed with. Fan uploads of the band's recordings include "Rain-O-Rama," posted with the note "Out Of St.Kitts-Nevis," plus "Wheels" and "Action Is Tight." Billed as GI's Brass International, the band also recorded "We Nar Give Up." Songs posted under Ellie Matt's name alone include "Joke Dey Making," "Sugar City Jamming" and "St Kitts Me Borning Land." Live footage shows him at the Carnival 40:40 opening in St. Kitts in 2011 and at a Miami show the same year, billed as King Ellie Matt.
