King Konris is the stage name of Konris Maynard, a Kittitian calypsonian born on 8 July 1983. Wikipedia credits him with four straight wins at the Saint Kitts and Nevis National Calypso Show, a run nobody else has matched, plus a fifth title tied to the Silver Jubilee of independence. His YouTube channel carries "Sunday J'Ouvert," posted as official audio from 2005, and a lyric video for "Jumping Up Again." Older uploads document his 2007 competition season, with "Sleeping Tiger" from the Calypso Monarch and "Walk Away" from the Soca Monarch. The same uploader also posted "By De Breath," dated 2013, while "Unstoppable Force" sits on an earlier channel under his name. Away from the stage he earned engineering degrees from the University of the West Indies and the University of Waterloo, and he has served as a Cabinet minister for the Saint Kitts and Nevis Labour Party since August 2022.
