Sye is a calypsonian whose recorded competition entries go back to at least 2010. That year his song "Dr Finger" was posted on YouTube as a Dominica Calypso entry. In 2012 he had a road march tune, "Just Burn", also known as "Sicko Secko", which was shared on YouTube that year as a Dominica Calypso 2012 road march track. "Cartoon Cabinet" was his 2017 song, and at the 2018 finals he performed "Relief Supply", captured in a live recording from the night. In 2025 he was still competing: Soca News listed Sye among the twenty calypsonians who moved on from a quarter-final field of thirty-two to the semi-finals of the Dominica Calypso Monarch competition, an initiative of the Dominica Calypso Association run in partnership with Flow and Heineken.
