Behind the music
Supa G, known as "The General", is a Belizean singer whose music Breaking Belize News describes as a soundtrack to Belizean celebrations over three decades. In August 2026 the outlet announced that he would be the honoree of the Living Legends Concert Series, a free show at Lord Rhaburn Plaza in Memorial Park, Belize City, built around his biggest hits and stories from his career before a closing set by the singer himself. Its report on the September 9 concert, organised by the National Celebrations Commission with the Institute of Creative Arts under the National Institute of Culture and History, says an all star line up of Belizean artists performed his songs and that Culture Minister Francis Fonseca praised his contribution to the country's identity. His catalogue leans on punta. His 2024 Deezer collection Punta Vibe gathers "Carolina", "Muevelo", "Tikita" and "That Drum", while a companion set, Soca Vibe, holds "Party Insane", "Whine It Up" and "Jump Jump". "Inna It" came out as Belize soca the same year, and his own YouTube channel carries videos for "Wadani Le" and "Mene Menealo".
