Behind the music

The story so far.

Mattick Queen is a singer who competes in the Mashramani music contests in both soca and dancehall. At the 2023 Soca Monarch at the National Stadium in Providence she placed fourth with "All Day", a party song, behind Adrian Dutchin, Diana Chapman and OKC, as reported by HGPTV and News Source Guyana. The following year Guyana Times listed her second in the Dancehall Monarch with "Woman Empowerment", scoring 227 points behind Alabama. Her soca releases on YouTube include "Whole day", posted as 2023 Soca on her own channel and by Selector Andre Entertainment, and "Don't Touch Me", tagged 2024 Soca. She has also released "Shift Gear" and the dancehall track "Some Gyal Really", and the One Guyana channel shared her live set from the Clash of the Studios event, while Selector Andre Entertainment posted her full performance at the Baderation Concert in 2023.
