Valene Nedd is a soca and calypso singer who has often been the only woman in Grenada's soca finals. NOW Grenada noted that she was the lone female in both the Groovy and Power competitions in 2017, and the only female artist entered in the 2019 Groovy Soca Monarch. Results list her tenth in the 2013 Groovy final with "Not Ah Saint" and fifth in 2015. In calypso she placed sixth in the 2024 national Calypso Monarch and ninth in 2025, then fourth in 2026 with 488 points, an improvement on her two previous results. She also sang "Small Minded People" in the first round of the 2019 Calypso Monarch at Dimanche Gras. Her soca releases include "Ride It" on the Sweet Wink Riddim and "Hook Whine" on The Hook Riddim, both shared by JulianspromosTV with Grenada soca tags, and her own channel carries the official video for "Rum x Baila". She told reporters in 2017 that she was not intimidated by the men she competed against.
