Matthew "Mr Gold'N" Thomas is a soca artist from Belmont in Carriacou. He won the 2025 Groovy Soca Monarch with "Down In Greenz", an Xpert Productions song built on the Veggie Pasta Riddim, scoring 276 points ahead of Sakinah and Shortpree. NOW Grenada reported that the song had come out about three months earlier, shortly after Carriacou Carnival, and that its strong reception led him to hold back the tune he had planned for the competition. His win took the Groovy crown back to Carriacou. Reflecting on it, he called the victory "something long time coming". As defending monarch in 2026 he drew the last spot in the running order and finished fifth, behind new champion Sabrina Francis. His catalogue on the Xpert Productions channel also includes "In Me Head" and "473", and he features with Riggy Atmosphere on "We Doh Easy", a 2026 soca release.
