Shondell "Dash" Amada is a soca artist who won four Groovy Soca Monarch titles in a row between 2016 and 2019. In 2018 he retained the crown with "Gifted", a song about the talent on the island, and in 2019 he shared first place with V'ghn, both on 261 points, singing "Ah Telling Yuh". That year, after competing at the International Soca Monarch in Trinidad, he was named one of Grenada's cultural ambassadors and given an official passport. He returned to competition in 2024, placing second in Groovy with "Celebrate (Tomorrow Not Promised)" and winning the Power Soca Monarch with "The Tape", earning 443 points and dethroning Terra D Governor. His performance opened with a video casting him as a wanted man on the run, and he told reporters he already had a song in his head for 2025. His channel carries "Gifted" and "Greater" with the PBC Choir Grenada, and "Hit After Hit" and "Listen Carefully" date from 2017 and 2018.
