Finley "Scholar" Jeffrey is a Grenadian calypsonian whom NOW Grenada described in 2026 as an 11-time Calypso Monarch. He lost the Dimanche Gras crown to Rootsman Kelly in 2017, then won it back in 2018 with "Walk on Water" and "Pum Pum", beating Baracka by a single point to match Ajamu's nine titles. At the time he was a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and was also acting as Chief Education Officer. The 2018 Legends in Concert awards named him Best Social Commentator. Commentator Arley Gill called him arguably Grenada's best writer, praising "Clip My Wings" and the jab jab song "Take Jab" in 2016. He topped the Calypso Monarch again in 2025 but chose not to defend the title in 2026, appearing as a guest performer instead. NOW Grenada credits him with recognising the vocal potential of Lil Jelo, a 2026 co-champion, during Lil Jelo's Junior Calypso years.
