Sheldon Douglas
Groovy soca regular and respected calypso deliverer in Spicemas.
Behind the music
The story so far.
Sheldon Douglas is a singer who has competed in Grenada's soca and calypso contests for well over a decade. Spicemas results list him fifth in the 2013 Groovy Soca Monarch with "Playing Ah Mas'" and tied for third in 2014 with "Horn Child". On the calypso side he placed fourth at Dimanche Gras in 2018, and a NOW Grenada preview that year described him as a regular in the finals and singled out his delivery as among the strongest of any calypsonian on the island. He was back in the Groovy final in 2025 with "Shine For Me", finishing in a tie for ninth with Shamak. DJ Socaholic's uploads trace his recordings from "Hot Hot Hot" in 2005 and "Mr DJ" in 2007 to "R.I.P", a calypso from 2013, and Xpert Productions released "Gettoner" for the 2013 soca season.
