The story so far.

Timothy Roberts is a Guyanese gospel singer whose song Celebrate Life carried a faith message onto the soca stage. The 2025 nominee list of the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards names him, with Guyana as his country, in the Outstanding Calypso Soca Vocal Performance (Male) category for that song. He performed Celebrate Life at a Soca Monarch competition in 2023 and posted the full performance on his YouTube channel. The Selector Andre Entertainment channel shared the track as a 2023 soca release, and his official video followed, labelled Soca 2024. Good Vibes is another song on his channel. His reach goes beyond soca, though. At the same 2025 Marlin Awards his song Holy Spirit won both Outstanding Dub Recording and Outstanding Reggae Vocal Performance (Male), and the nominee list also carried his Faithful Songs in the reggae recording category.
