Behind the music
The story so far.
Reshma Ramlal is a chutney singer who won the Queen of Chutney Soca title at the 2025 Chutney Soca Monarch, the same night Machel Montano took the main crown. Soca News listed her among that year's finalists as Reshma Ramlal and Lil Bits, a pairing that also produced the duet Poowah Nah Ready, posted on Lil Bitts' official channel. She also performs devotional material: Om Namaskar appears on the Divali Ka Masala 3.0 album released in 2025. Her own YouTube channel carries the song Water Hose. Her Deezer page, under the name Warrior Princess Reshma Ramlal, lists Gardener from 2011, Strong Man from 2020 and Jub Jub from 2023, followed by a batch of releases in late 2025 including Bacchanal, Fluffy Man, Bumper Rider, Paint Stick and Jawo Jawo. She has also recorded Sajaniya with Jesh Ramnanan, released with a video in 2026.
