Behind the music
The story so far.
Ozarie Matthews, who records simply as Ozarie, has been a finalist at Vincy Mas in both the ragga and power soca categories. iWitness News listed him in the 2016 Ragga Soca Monarch final with "Bend Ova" and again in the 2023 Ragga Soca final with "Pastor Choking the Bishop." In 2024 he moved to the Soca Monarch and placed fourth with "Front Teeth," scoring 218 points and earning EC$10,000 in the contest won by Fireman. On record, he teamed with Flanka on "Cat In Me Yard," released as soca for Vincy Mas 2017 through Lester Iroha's channel. His solo release "Peeping Tom" on the F Note Riddim was issued as 2025 soca by Stumpy D Boss Recordz. Earlier, "Feel To Cry" appeared on the Love Bug Riddim in 2020. A fan recording of his 2024 "Front Teeth" monarch performance is also online. Start with "Peeping Tom," then try "Cat In Me Yard."
