Behind the music

The story so far.

Lyricksman, also billed as Lyricks Man and De Lyricks Man, has been a regular at Antigua Carnival for well over a decade. Footage from Antigua Carnival 2012 shows him performing "All Nite" live, and "Antigua Style" was posted as a 2013 Jumpy entry. Dadli TV carried a run of his carnival songs, among them "Can't Help It" and "Scubba Divin" in 2015 and "No Stress" in 2016. His biggest competition moment came in 2022, when LSA Entertainment filmed his performance of "How Ma Sound" and labelled it the Jumpy winning performance at the Antigua Party Monarch. Petra the Spectator's history of the contest credits the same song with bringing lyrical grit. He has also written calypso: in 2025 LSA Entertainment released "Gem Of The Caribbean Again", tagged Calypso and tied to Antigua and Barbuda's Independence that year.
