Caribbean Beat notes that the song gained traction in Trinidad and Tobago, and LargeUp reported that Cardi B was seen dancing to it on social media. A 2017 Voice article said the track had been burning up music scenes across the globe and had reached as far as Japan, and R&B singer Dupes told the paper it proved Saint Lucian music could go global.
