Erphaan Alves

The story so far.

Erphaan Alves began in school calypso before developing a career as a soca singer and songwriter. His official press kit, covering achievements through 2019, records a Rosary Boys RC school Calypso Monarch win in 2001 and junior soca monarch wins in 2008 and 2009; its narrative names that contest the National Schools’ Soca Monarch, while its achievements list names it the National Junior Soca Monarch. It also identifies As We Rise as his own composition for the 2012 National Song competition. Writing for other performers forms another part of his repertoire: the kit lists Precision Wine for Kes, Make You Rock and Doh Fraid for Machel Montano, and Land of Whine for Teddyson John. Alongside performances, the press kit describes charitable initiatives including the Grateful School Tour and a music fund for St George’s College.
