Cro Cro is the stage name of Weston Rawlins, a veteran calypsonian also known as the Mighty Midget, described in the press as a Buenos Ayres bard. He has won the Calypso Monarch title four times, in 1988, 1990, 1996 and 2007, and is a three-time Independence champion. His 1990 win came with "Political Dictionary" and "Party", his 1996 win with "Dey Look for Dat" and "Support Commentary Calypso", and his 2007 win with "Nobody Ain't Go Know". He finished second in 2005 and 2008 and reached the finals again in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016. For decades his work has dealt with politics and social issues, and the High Court later found that his 2023 song "Another Sat is Outside Again" defamed a businessman, ordering damages. Cro Cro said he would pay and would turn to jump and wave songs. He has also run the Icons Tent.
