Behind the music
The story so far.
Skillful Band is a live carnival band that releases its own singles and posts its fete sets on its YouTube channel. The channel's 2026 upload titled Skillful Band Roadmarch Victory Live 2026, tagged SXM, documents the band celebrating a road march win that season. Its Deezer catalogue starts with Hold Yuh Wuk Up in 2022, followed in 2023 by Bike Back and Two Little Birds, both featuring Daddy Keyz alongside Ras Tyl and Tension respectively, and Bap Bap with Ciio The Artist. Instruction, with Ras Tyl and Daddy Keyz, came out in 2024 through the label credit 2846043 Records DK. Later releases include Mango Tree in early 2025, Wuk Up Addiction at the end of that year, and Screw It and Wet Dem in 2026, the last presented as a bouyon track for the Axa Wet Fete. The channel also carries a full live set from Wet Fete 2025, which shows how the band works a crowd between releases.
