Behind the music
The story so far.
Samantha Johnson is a Christian singer whose own YouTube channel leans on soca. The song "Freedom" is posted there as Soca 2014, while "Exousia" and "Greater" both appear as Soca 2016 releases. The name Exousia carries over to a group as well, since the channel shares a promo for the official launch of Samantha Johnson and Exousia Band. "Take It Back" is posted on the channel as a 2016 song, and Apple Music lists a track of that name from the same year on Germine Sealy's 7rounds Riddim single, with Samantha Johnson featured and the release filed under Christian music. Another upload on the channel, "Worship You Still", shows the devotional focus that runs through this catalogue of soca and worship songs.
