Rome is the stage name of Jerome Precilla, a singer who moves between soca, chutney soca and the Christmas season's parang soca. He was among the eleven finalists challenging Voice at the February 2018 International Soca Monarch, where he performed D Key, released as a 2018 chutney soca song. Three years later he was again named a finalist in The Monarch, the February 2021 competition that stood in for the International Soca Monarch, alongside Blaxx, Farmer Nappy and Viking Ding Dong. Several of his releases are Christmas parang songs. Spanish Parang came out as a 2016 soca parang single and Apoo as a 2018 parang soca video. He followed with Christmas Morning on the Parang Lime Riddim in 2019, Eat Everything with XplicitMevon on D' Parang Riddim in 2021, and Country Gyal, a 2024 soca parang release. For Carnival 2023 he teamed with Motto on We Alcohol.
