Klassik Frescobar
Miami-based soca singjay behind the Dennery Segment hit Dansa.
Behind the music
The story so far.
Klassik Frescobar is the stage name of Kamaal Burrowes, a soca singjay who was born in New York, raised in Jamaica and moved to Miami in 2014, according to the Jamaica Observer. That 2020 report covered a remix of his song Looking Good featuring Trinidadian artists Ghost and Madman, Bajan act Marzville and Kisha from St Lucia, produced by Segal Productions. He has described his sound as soca fused with the dancehall and hip hop he grew up on. His breakthrough came with Dansa, produced by DJ Kalli and recorded in 2023, which SocaRecords ranked as the second biggest soca release of 2025, as Rolling Stone UK reported. The Source noted Caribbean Music Award nominations for the song as Soca Song of the Year and Dennery Song of the Year. His YouTube catalog also includes Face Down on the Pink Panther Bouyon Riddim and the 2026 Dennery Segment releases Slingshot and Voila, the latter with DJ Kalli and Krys.
