Behind the music

The story so far.

Jus Now grew from the partnership of Trinidadian producer and percussionist Keshav Singh, known as LAZABeam, and British producer Sam ‘Interface’ Chadburn. Their 2014 interviews describe meeting in Bristol and building on a shared interest in drum-and-bass production. Their production work includes Bunji Garlin’s Savage and Truck on D Road and Machel Montano’s Junction. The selected recordings introduce their own credited releases: Tun Up featuring Bunji Garlin and Cyah Help It. Named remixes and guest versions remain separate entries. Jus Now’s live presentation has also expanded beyond the original pair: In a March 2023 Newsday interview, Blasé Vanguard discussed joining Keshav, Sam Interface and Serocee in the expanded collective. That touring description and the earlier two-producer origin describe different aspects of the project.
