Behind the music

The story so far.

HollyG, also written Holly G, is a female bouyon group from Guadeloupe whose members come from the communes of Trois-Rivières and Vieux-Habitants, according to RCI. Booska-P describes them as a trio and calls their song "Bandit (Oui Oui Oui)" the first bouyon track to win over clubs, crediting the group with opening the door for a newer generation of Guadeloupean acts. Their reach grew with "Je l'ai vu," recorded with Arendi and DJ VJ Ben. In May 2024 the group was nominated for Best New International Act at the BET Awards, which RCI called a first for Guadeloupean bouyon. Their Deezer catalog includes the 2023 album "Voodoo Team, Vol. 1," with tracks such as "Boat" and "Holiday," plus singles including "Ma belle" (2022), "Tibilap Tibilap" (2024), "Wa Coco" (2025) and "Pull up" on the Black Glory 2 Riddim. Booska-P adds that they signed with a label in mainland France in October 2025, and their December 2025 single "Coller la petite" features Theodora.
