Behind the music

The story so far.

Farmer Nappy is Trinidadian singer and songwriter Darryl Henry. His label’s biography traces his work from playing percussion in Panasonic Express through Xtatik and Machel Montano’s HD band. His solo catalog also carries that history of writing and collaboration. FOX FUSE identifies Margaret ‘Ginger’ Alexis as his co-writer on Chippin’ and De Red Boyz as its producers; the later Anthony B remix is a separate version. The selected listening entries pair Chippin’ (With Meh Own Woman) with Surrender, both from the provider edition of You Make Me…Surrender. The label announced that album for February 21, 2012. That album date should not be mistaken for the first appearance of every song: the same biography discusses Chippin’ in its earlier 2007–2008 history.
