Behind the music
The story so far.
Power Jay is a producer who specialises in jab jab riddims, released for the soca season. The Power Jay YouTube channel posts instrumentals under titles that credit Power Jay directly as producer. "Black Jack" and "Road Kings", both tagged Soca 2026, lead the 2026 batch, and "Grave Digger" follows the same format with the same Soca 2026 tag. Going back, "Jungle Jam" dates from 2024 and "Lost Shadow" from 2025. Every one of these uploads is billed as a jab jab riddim instrumental, so the channel reads as a yearly series rather than a set of one-offs. Alongside the instrumentals, the official Power Jay topic channel lists the tracks "Jab in Town", billed as a jab jab freestyle, and "Jab Alive". Taken together, the uploads show a producer working almost entirely in the jab jab lane from 2024 through 2026.
