A collaboration carried out by phone
Johanna Chuckaree told Newsday the song responded to canceled performances, including Trinidad Carnival 2021. She co-wrote it with Gamal “Skinny Fabulous” Doyle.
She said their collaboration took place by phone while Skinny was in St Vincent and covid restrictions prevented travel to or from Trinidad. Apple also names both as songwriters.

Recording work and video work
The interview separates audio work from Antonio Achee’s video, which places Johanna at a piano facing an empty Grand Stand at Queen’s Park Savannah.
The video also recalls Ubersoca Cruise 2019, where the pair collaborated on an acoustic “Famalay” introduction. That footage documents a different performance.

Find the featured-artist single
Apple lists the song under D Piano Girl Johanna, with Skinny Fabulous in the track title, on the single dated February 8, 2021. That provider edition date is separate from the March interview and the 2019 flashback performance.
Johanna’s wish for a future power-soca remix is not evidence that one was released.
